Good morning everyone,

I have to be honest, Im coming to you this morning from you guessed it BED…Im having a couple of days rest and I thought it would be good to have a debrief with you.
screen-shot-2016-12-12-at-4-43-58-pm-copyI wanted to thank you so much for your support of the Altitude Ball and I would break down some bits of it for you. We raised over $2000 for the Miles family – and Tamara was able to make it to the event too – I’m so thankful to everyone who helped make this  happen by donating prizes, you are a wonderful community!

I also forgot to thank Tamara Reeves from Compass Training  when I was thanking sponsors! – Thank you Tamara xx

alitudeballOur beautiful decorations were put together by my mum Miranda, many hours of creating painting and arranging. Mum made and embellished all of the elephants and mums oldest and dearest friend Bruce Robertson, who is 97 yes I said 97 did the calligraphy table numbers – isn’t that cool? Thanks Mum and Bruce. I also neglected to thank my dad who hauled 20 boxes of stuff to the ball and sat and blew up balloons all afternoon – dads are awesome aren’t they? Thanks Dad?

Secret Stretch – This will end up being a blog post in itself, we hope you liked it, we had such fun even though we were so nervous. I’m so impressed by everyones courage – Special thanks to Lisa Powell our choir master and to Roger, Amanda’s other half for helping us to record our track – we couldn’t have done without you.

To the girls – Amanda, Sally, Louise, Vicki, Linda Fiona, Lisa Claire & Anne-Maree what a wonderful experience thank you for taking a leap of faith and stretching yourselves – we have been rehearsing for months its been a blast. Thank you Amanda & Melissa for being our hosts last night, you were a great double act, just yourselves, and we all appreciate that about you both.

I also want to thank Simon Gould from Hilary Nathan Photography, I’ve already seen some of the photos, Simon is just terrific and made us all look stunning – Thank you Simon, so grateful. For more information click here: www.hilarynathanphotography.com.au.

To our winners- when they came of the stage, all of then were in shock, Its a gorgeous happy thing to witness how it affects the body and moments later everyone is beaming and joyful – I love that so much, it made my night witnessing all of you, congratulations.
Its pointless to think that the night wont have a hitch and one of our  many glitches were 2 winners who couldn’t attend, but had made a video that didn’t work on the night. Here are those videos:

You wouldn’t have believed the chaos in the room that afternoon – well maybe you would. Its was controlled chaos but the job was enormous. I’m so incredibly grateful and humbled by the people who support me, to get this mammoth event done in the way that we want to create love and joy in the room. These people, worked in their own homes, tying ribbon….. taking delivery of goodie bags……came to my office and packed goodie bags, made phone calls, sorted and readied – they are all wonderful and I send them my love and thanks: Jody, Elizabeth, Bec, Bree, Talia, Mark, Michael, Molly and Annie, you were my saving graces:)

In 2 years time we will do the ball again, what theme do you want next time? Vintage? 50’s, 70’s hippie? – let me know so we can have a vote. Today I’m going to put my attention to the men and women who served our country and spend some time with my girls, one of whom is stomping around cranky at me because Im on the computer… off to be a mum

have a great week
Andy xxxx
