Here’s my brain workout for today. You’ve seen this saying right? ‘Results no typical’ ‘Results may vary from person to person’?Weight loss companies are required to have this underpinned in all of their advertising claims. In fact, any claims need to have this type of disclaimer. What I’m fascinated by is the why? How is it that some people can get an extraordinary result and others don’t?
You know I’m fascinated with the human condition, the psyche, the mind, the soul connection. And I’m pondering this question today. I’m not writing from the point of view that I have the answers and here is why people don’t get the results blah blah…. In fact its the opposite. I am posing the question because the older I get, the more people I work with, coach or mentor the more I’m perplexed about this phenomenon.
It is too simplistic to say they (meaning the person/people going after a goal) don’t want it bad enough, or they didn’t take enough action, or they didn’t plan. I’m certain that belief internally is a huge factor, and yet you see people with huge issues and not a great faith in themselves succeeding so then that kind of blows that theory out of the water!
I’m not religious in any way, and yet I recall the saying I learnt in my twenties, God’s laughing at your plans. Is destiny a part of this do you think?
How many people have you heard stories from that something they were aiming for didn’t work out but in fact, it set them on a new course that uncovered their true bliss or purpose?
This is not a purposeful mindset today, its a discussion, an opening up of conversation. Let me know your theories and thoughts
Until Next week
Big Hugs Andy xx
