Its Sunday evening and I’m feeling incredibly inspired and moved by the emerging strength I have the privilege to witness within our community. Women becoming more focussed, and more daring. Pushing with all of their might through self doubt, self criticism and giving their dreams a red hot go. Frankly in my humble opinion you can’t ask for much more than that. I’m wondering though if they realise how much of what they do touches others, that we notice your effort, that your courage is sparkling and it imbues in us the notion that we can achieve too.
This week, I saw a great Shine talk, delivered with such elegance and grace by someone who had a little self doubt around doing this. She felt the fear and did it anyway and how great it was! This morning The Embrace Festival was held in Penrith, I saw members who were serving Deb Shepherd and her team as volunteers, I saw a great many members exhibiting and sharing with others and I saw lots of our community supporting the festival by their attendance.
My afternoon was capped off by taking my daughter to the opening of an art exhibition by member 
Derryn Hahn. Derryn is an emerging artist with inspiring talent. To see the beautiful artworks that she has created for her ‘Tree Change’ exhibition was a triumph of her determination and inner strength. You can find out more about her art at Art By Derryn
I truly love our community, most of all I love that ordinary people are doing, helping, and achieving. Women participating in extraordinary things, showing up, pushing through their fear and being real about what that takes.
