This morning I feel a surge of gratitude and joy and I’m also marvelling at the power of what can be achieved with wholehearted business connection and partnership. I think business is changing, in fact I know for sure that the way we do business is changing because more and more women are entering small business, starting ventures, making connections and stepping into their power and purpose.
Women bring a different energy to business and are usually drawn to business for a desire to live and act more wholeheartedly or mindfully. They want to prosper and share their skills and talents and products with the world. Nearly all the women I connect with have worked in a toxic environment and decided that they wanted more for their life.
As women we must nurture the connections we make along the way, as to do so can lead to lands of opportunity that you haven’t even thought of yet.
Today I want to acknowledge such a connection and celebrate a wonderful business and concept. If you didn’t know yesterday the Blue Mountains held its first Embrace Life Festival. A wellbeing festival for businesses in the wellness industry to come together and share their products and services. They create a gorgeous atmosphere with treatments, interesting talks and a lovely energy. Embrace Festivals founder, Deb Shepherd and I met and connected at a business program that I had been a part of in 2011.
Whilst we didn’t see each other often, we connected every now and then and caught up with what each of us were up to. This is the key. Don’t burn bridges or hold expectations of connections that you make, go with the flow. Sometimes you might be talking about a possible connection or idea and it doesn’t happen or develop. This was true of Deb and I, we tossed a few ideas around and it didn’t quite pan out the first time. Keep the door open and your smile and hands extended. Thats what Deb and I did, and now almost 5 years year later we are creating partnership, we are supporting each other to grow, we are adding value to our members.
Many WWA members supported the festival yesterday by either exhibiting or attending. There is a wonderful sense of support in this business community that we are part of and I feel so grateful to be part of it. There are ways that you can partner and help each other to grow and develop that you may not have even thought of yet, so keep your connections warmed, look in on them from time to time, be kind, be open and you can have connections, referrals, support and advocates for decades or the life of your business and beyond
Until next week, HUGE Gratitude hugs
Andy xxx
