For me watching there were a few things that popped out: On the positive, what a wonderful motivator for entrepreneurial dreamers, It makes business look exciting and fun which most of the time it is, but I kept thinking that there is so much more to these stories than what they are showing. Real life wheeling and dealing goes on, but most small business start-ups don’t sell off shares in their business, and not a lot of time was given showing the mechanics of the deal and what it really means.
Also, the focus was only on money and not value. In business, we all know that it’s not just money or a product or service, but the value that you build in your brand. There was no focus on how we serve, value add or create relationship, just cash cash cash, and I think people thinking about business could be misguided into thinking that if they just get cash all of their challenges will be solved!
These are just my observations what were yours? Would you take the bait or pitch your product or service on they show?
